Talk Title: Plaquette Renormalized Tensor Network: Recent Progress

We will introduce the plaquette renormalized tensor network and discuss our recent studies on the spin-1/2 J1-J2 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on a 8x8 square lattice. The ground states are obtained by the variational principle, based on which the nearest-neighbor spin-spin correlation and the plaquette-order parameter are investigated. In addition to the well-known Neel and collinear orders in low and high J2/J1 respectively, we observe a plaquette order in the intermediate regime. Meanwhile, a first-order phase transition to collinear-order occurs at J2/J1~ 0.6. Signatures of a possible continuous transition between the Neel and the plaquette order occurs around 0.45. These values agree well with other finite-size numerical calculations in the literature. The kernel of these simulations, the plaquette contraction, is performed on graphic processing units for speedup.
