Talk Title: Topological Characterization of
disordered fractional quantum Hall liquids I plan to discuss the characterization of disordered
fractional quantum Hall liquids, which treats disorder and interaction on an
equal footing. The first example is to use topological Chern numbers in systems with topological ground
state degeneracy. The second example is to use concepts with quantum
information origin, such as entanglement entropy and fidelity. I will focus on
the fractional quantum Hall liquids to insulator transition, also as an attempt
to understand the experimental data on activation gap in samples with large
disorder. |
