Talk Title: Surface and interface gapless states
of topological insulators Topological insulators are insulating in the bulk, and have
gapless surface states carrying spin current. These states are localized near
the surface, but the penetration depth into the bulk may vary by systems. By
using simplified models we study how the penetration depth behaves, and how it
changes by applying magnetic field. If time allows, I talk on the gapless
interface states between topological insulators, protected by mirror symmetry.
