  • Functions of a complex variable, Cauchy-Rieman conditions, Laurent series, Cauchy integral formula  and residue theorem
  • Coordinate transformations, including curvilinear coordinates and their vector operations, tenor analysis
  • Special functions such as gamma, beta, error and elliptic functions
  • Partial differential equations in physical problems, second-order ordinary differential equations and series solutions
  • Sturm-Liouville theory and eigenvalue problems
  • Legendre, associate Legendre and Bessel functions
  • Fourier and Laplace transforms
