    Content: This course is a more in-depth version of PHYS 1114. It is intended to provide a solid foundation to students who wish to take more advanced physics courses in the future. Key topics include Coulombˇ¦s law, electric field and potential, Gaussˇ¦ law, capacitance, circuits, magnetic force and field, Ampereˇ¦s law, electromagnetic induction, AC circuit, Maxwellˇ¦s equations, electromagnetic waves, geometric optics, interference and diffraction. Students without the prerequisite may seek instructorˇ¦s approval for enrolling in the course. For students under the 4-year degree only.
